Expo Turismo 2011 is a joint initiative of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama and the Panama Chamber of Tourism (CAMTUR) where wholesalers, tour operators with an interest in the Latin American tourism market attend an international marketplace in Panama. The tourism & trade fare was recently held September 23-24, 2011 at the ATLAPA Convention Center in Panama City, Panama.

How Medical Tourism May Be Behind the Curve in Social Media
The government and medical tourism industry regularly say 30,000 people go to Costa Rica each year for medical or cosmetic treatment. The problem is that while both say that numbers are rising fast, they have been using this 30,000 figure since 2009 and well before the global recession. Others argue that 20,000 is probably more accurate, but there is no hard evidence to support the claim.
